Ron Paul Set to Take Control of Fed Oversight Committee

For the first time in quite some time, the GOP has decided to accept the liberty wing of the party into its leadership and consensus. Ron Paul, the famed libertarian constitutionalist congressman hailing from Texas, is set to take control of the Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology, one of the most powerful positions in the House. Paul, who wants to abolish the Federal Reserve and return to the gold standard, would get full oversight of the Federal Reserve and unprecedented power to pursue his Austrian agenda. Paul will likely get the position this coming week.
