Joe Manchin a no go for Reid?

Newly sworn in Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, who famously shot a bullet through the cap and trade bill, has stated that he may not support Harry Reid for Senate Majority Leader. He told Politico the following after being sworn in.

"I really don't even know what my options are yet. I'm going to find out."

It's highly possible that Manchin is continuing his pledge to remain an independent and conservative vote for West Virginians.

Pelosi, Reid to bring up DREAM Act during 'lame duck' session

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have promised to continue to push through the DREAM Act as well as other key Obama agenda items during the 'lame duck' session, which ends at the beginning of next year. Many of these key items, including the DREAM Act, which is the main amnesty legislation in Congress, are highly unpopular with the American populous. Republican officials have cried out, saying that defeated congressional Democrats were going against the will of their constituents.
